Well, not installed, but certainly booked. Denis and I try not to go out on Valentine’s Day because it’s so crowded. So we’re going out on Thursday for a Date Night. Yesterday Denis won a gift certificate to a local restaurant in a contest our gym ran to celebrate their grand opening. And the movie “Music & Lyrics” with Drew Barrymore and Hugh Grant opens tomorrow night, so we’ve officially got our plans in place.
Our babysitters from the nearby university have been very flaky lately (one girl didn’t even bother to call me back last time I called her and left a message asking about availability), so it has been hard to make plans for things. However, one of Denis’ co-workers lives down the block and has a 15-yr-old daughter that likes to babysit. They came over last night for about 30 minutes to meet the kids and find out just what would be required. The daughter was very nice and the kids warmed up very quickly to her. The only thing we didn’t discuss was price, which I’ll ask her about on Thursday night before we leave. Since she’s a teenager I’m hoping I can offer her a bit lower than I was offering the college chicks. We’ll see.
In any case, I’m VERY excited that we’re going out!
FYI. According to her mom, the babysitter loved the kids.
Oh good! It helped that they were on their best behavior. π
Well, just think, in a little over two weeks you and D are going to be on an extended “date” together in Scotland with a babysitter in charge at home who absolutely adores your kids!! π
And she’s free!
Whoo Hoo!!!! Free babysitting! She can stay forever. I showed a couple a 20 acre plot of buildable land with a mobile home on it in Chester yesterday. Only $116k. Marmie, there is definitely plenty of land down here for you and Pop.
