At Home Today

Well, CootieGirl is on Day Two of having a bug – coughing, congestion, slight fever. She came home early from daycare yesterday and this morning was still feeling poorly. Since Denis has a bunch of appointments today it was decided that I would stay home. It’s helpful that Mr. Russell is in HQ for meetings.

However, I realized last night that I forgot to give Mr. Sutherland the new key for his office (we had new locks put on all the doors this week). And since he left his laptop for the night I locked and closed his door last night. Mr. Sutherland works early hours – 7:30 a.m. – 4 p.m. – since he comes from Connecticut. I don’t work until 8:45 a.m. So you can see the dilemma. For the past 52 minutes I’ve been attempting to get in touch with SOMEONE over there to get his office open. I’ve left voicemails, text messages, emails, called over a dozen extensions and it was only a few minutes ago that I finally got in touch with El Presidente’s secretary who said she’d unlock his door for him.

Okay, gotta run – CootieGirl is downstairs picking at cereal and watching Dora but she seemed a bit needy when I told her I was coming upstairs for a few minutes.
