A Well Deserved Quiet Day

I worked 4 1/2 hours at the office yesterday. And as much as you might think that the title of this post means I’m home today – you would be wrong! Our firm doesn’t get the Prez Day holiday, so we’re all here at work as usual.

Since Mr. BIL is out at a mediation most of the day, my morning has been quite uneventful. I finally got the time to hook up my Dell Axim to my work computer and add back in all my contacts that I lost a while back when I let the Dell battery go dead. I lost a LOT of info the day that battery died – I had some account info password protected on there, and it’s all GONE. Oh well. At least my contacts are back. I also still have my GPS software on there since I was running it off the SD card as opposed to the Dell itself.

In other news, Denis dropped off the completed applications at the daycare we’re hoping to switch to. Rather than wait for the fall, we’re going to bite the financial bullet and move them as soon as possible. It’ll mean less money going into the Disney fund, but that’s okay because I would prefer a better environment for my kids and in that regard cost shouldn’t be an issue AT ALL. I spoke with someone at church yesterday who used to be with our current daycare and switched to the one we’re going to and he said his son LOVES IT and that he can already see a difference in behavior. So I’m looking forward to that. I just hope that they are okay with CootieBoy not quite being potty-trained yet. Once they get slots in the classes there I will probably take a morning off to go with them on their first days while they get used to the new place – which is absolutely the polar-opposite of what they have now. Now? Chaos. There? Structure. It’s gonna be AWESOME.

Denis is off today, and told me he plans on finishing the annual raking of the leaves event in the back yard. He picked a good day for it – it’s going to be in the upper 60s here today. I’m hoping to go out on my lunch hour and get a manicure, but I also may opt to take advantage of the time and read my book. I’m anxious to start on the “Twilight” series.
