I’ve decided what I want to do for my next vacation, whenever that may be. I want to go to England and visit all the places where the Tudors lived and loved. I’ve been to England before (I even lived there for a couple years as a child), but this time around, as an adult who’s really interested in the history of England, I want to see Hever Castle in Kent where the Boleyns lived. I want to see the tombs at Westminster Abbey where Elizabeth I and various other monarchs are buried. I want to visit the Tower of London where both Anne Boleyn and Elizabeth were held prisoner at various times in their lives. Hyde Park is where Henry VIII did much of his hunting. There are many other historical sites around England I’d love to see now that I’m so fascinated by Tudor England.
*sigh* Too bad I won’t be going there anytime soon. With The Kid arriving in six months our vacations will be going out the window until we save to take The Kid(s) to Disneyland or someplace like that.
Yes, I think we’ve taken our last real vacation until 2012. And as you said, that one will probably be to Disney World. England, hmmmmmm….. 2020!
Tudor tour is hard to say!!! Want to come on a cruise with Rob, Grace and I? Next November…The kid ( as you call it!!!) will be 9 months old and we will leave from the NYC port!
Isn’t it a shame that we weren’t old enough to appreciate the history of the cool place we lived in and visited when we were kids?
I don’t think you’ll have to wait for 20 years for that vacation…it’s doable!
Tara, Denis and I went on a cruise on our honeymoon and pretty much hated it. So that’s doubtful that we’ll do it – although doing it with you guys would be a BLAST.
Well Jane, there is always Disney World!!! Rob and I LOVE it there and now that Grace is in the mix we can pretend we are going for her!
