Cloverfield looks like it’s gonna be a GREAT movie. It has been a long time since I’ve actively been excited about a movie, and this one is definitely the first one in a while that when the trailer ended I thought, “Wow – that looks GOOD!” (most trailers nowadays give away the entire plot of the movie, rendering it pointless to go pay money).
Produced by JJ Abrams (of “Alias” and “Lost”), written by Drew Goddard (a former “Buffy” and “Angel” writer who also penned for “Alias” and “Lost”), this movie is right up my alley. It is also filmed in the same vein as “The Blair Witch Project” in that the bulk of the action is seen through a home movie camera, complete with wonky shaking and scratchy viewing.
I’m glad I’m taking off January 24 as a vacation day – I’ll get a facial in the morning and then catch the movie in the afternoon. WOO HOO!!!
The cinematography reminds me of Blair Witch Project. Hope it’s better than that. I’m getting nervous now that you put Buffy in the same sentene as Cloverfield. Let me know how it is.
