A Little OT

Our office closed at 3 p.m. today, but once I got done with my work at 3:30 p.m. I came down to the receptionist area to cover the front desk until 5 p.m. Any OT is good OT in my book. And I need all the OT I can get if I want to get rid of all my consumer debt! Since 90% of the firm is gone, all I have to do is sit and answer the phone, then shut of all the lights and coffee makers before I head home. Not a bad way to earn overtime!

I was just about to go to lunch today when I realized I forgot my book. I’m in the home stretch and left it on the end table in the TV room. Grrr… I went to Harris Teeter and picked up the third part of a Nora Roberts trilogy that I started last year. This way I’ll have closure on that story AND it’s a super-quick book to put on my 2009 Reading List.

I had my latest doctor appointment this morning and it wasn’t good. Another gain. But I told her that 2009 is a new year – and I’m recommited to doing well! My goal is to lose 7 pounds by my next appointment, which is in four weeks. Now that we have an exercise bike in our bedroom, there is NO EXCUSE for not burning some serious calories while also limiting calories!!

You can do it!!! Watch out, that bike is a killer. And it will give you a nicotine high too. LOL
