It’s early – 8:15 a.m., and I’m here at my desk in the quietest corner of the day. The three bankers that work in my corner are out, as well as the one down the left hall and the two down the right hall. It’s going to be a blissful day (I hope).
However, it sounds as though the peeps on the floor above me may be planning an escape. You know big huge files that construction people use? The mondo ones that can file down Hagrid’s big toe? Well, RIGHT ABOVE ME, someone is going to town with such a file – no doubt trying to dig his way out of his office as opposed to just opening the door and taking an elevator.
I’m just waiting for the fine asbestos dust to begin falling from my false ceiling – that’s when I’m bolting for the other side of the office. Or the elevator.
Ugh.. that noise alone would drive me insane. If it were my office, I would pack my belongings and head for home.
Funny. Earphones are your friend.
