It’s the end of 2017, and that means it’s time for my annual posting of the books I’ve read over the past year. This year I was smart – I vastly reduced the number of awful free Kindle books I read this year (compared to last year, which I consider to be “the year I read awful free Kindle books, which I shall never do again.”
On to the list!
[table id=2 /]
The list of books can be sorted – I currently have it sorted starting with my favorites to my least favorites of the year. The last two are still in the middle of being read and likely will not be completed in the next day or two.
Best book of 2017: I re-read Ready Player One, since it’s one of my favorite book of all time and is permanently in the #1 spot along with Jane Eyre. But I also thoroughly enjoyed four other books, and would likely put A Gentleman in Moscow by Amor Towles in a solid second place this year. That was an outstanding book.
Worst book of 2016: Well, I know others love it, but I attempted to read Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte again, and I still hate that book. I got about 1/3rd through it and shelved it. The characters are awful, and story is awful, and the book is just awful.
