I was talking to Ace on the phone earlier today and he told me that I haven’t been that active on Cootiehog in the past couple of weeks. And he’s absolutely right – I’ve had next to no interest in coming over here and it’s taken a lot of energy just to make the posts I HAVE made since the beginning of the month. I’m in a bit of an unintended mid-life crisis right now. And, to be honest, I just don’t feel like talking about it.
It’s complicated, there’s a lot going on, and the blog is taking a backseat for the time being. I figure it’ll keep going like that for another month, and then once things settle down, I’ll be able to write out a nice long post to catch up everyone on what has been a somewhat tumultuous 2009 so far (and we’re only four weeks into it)!
I do have a movie review for you, as well as my thoughts on the burn-off tv season (which is when the networks finally finish airing the already-completed episodes of shows they’ve decided to cancel). I haven’t done much reading the past few weeks but I am currently reading “Velvet Elvis” by Rob Bell, who is the mastermind behind the amazingly thoughtful NOOMA videos that some of you might have seen if you attend contemporary church services. I’m also still sludging my way through “Rise to Rebellion” and have no idea when I’ll be inspired to finish it.
Tonight is bath night for the kids, so I’m off to help CootieGirl do her homework for the night so they can then hop into the tubs.
Feel like coming up for a get-away? 🙂
