So I finally had time to finalize my list of books that I read in 2008. Last year I read 23 books. I read 21 books this year – not as good as last year, but better than I originally thought (when I first typed up this list I could only find 15 books that I had read, but managed to find another six). With any lucky I can do more reading in 2009. Especially since I inherited a LOT of books from a woman on my mommy forum who moved and didn’t want to take all her books. I ended up keeping about 20 of the 60 or so she gave me to look through.
Here is my 2008 reading list, starting with most recently finished:
1. Cash by Johnny Cash (autobiography)
2. Midnight Sun by Stephenie Meyer (fiction – half a manuscript)
3. Breaking Dawn by Stephenie Meyer (fiction)
4. The Shack – William P. Young (fiction)
5. Go Ask Alice – Anonymous (fiction)
6. World War Z – Max Brooks (fiction (or is it???))
7. Saffron Skies by Lesley Lokko (fiction)
8. The Last Widow of the South – Robert Hicks (historical fiction)
9. High Noon – Nora Roberts (fiction)
10. Blood Brothers – Nora Roberts (fiction)
11. The Hollow – Nora Roberts (fiction)
12. The Glass Castle – Jeannette Walls (memoir)
13. The Constant Princess – Phillippa Gregory (historical fiction)
14. Alexandra – Carolly Erickson (biography)
15. Eclipse – Stephenie Meyer (fiction)
16. New Moon – Stephenie Meyer (fiction)
17. Twilight – Stephenie Meyer (fiction)
18. Snow Flower and Secret Fan – Lisa See (fiction)
19. And the Shofar Blew – Francine Rivers (fiction)
20. Pink Slip – Rita Ciresi (fiction)
21. The Wedding Party – Robyn Carr (fiction)
You seem to like Nora Roberts, although I thought J.D. Robb would be in there as well.
She and her husband will be opening a B&B in Boonsboro, MD, in the next few months. See this:

No, I don’t read her JD Robb stuff at all. And I only had three in a row because I was in the mood for fluff fiction during that time. You’ll notice the two books flanking the Nora Roberts were not light-hearted stuff!
