Grocery Game Success

I went in hoping to reach 65% in savings, rather than my normal 50-51%. And I would have reached it if I hadn’t splurged on a couple things that weren’t on my list (I bought more fruit for my work lunches, as well as a couple other things that were on sale but I didn’t have coupons for).

But I still did well. Overall, I spent $65 on $155 in groceries. I was thrilled when I paid $50 for slightly over $100 groceries at Lowe’s. And then laughed when I paid $15 for $50 in groceries at Harris Teeter. WOO HOOO!!!

In the end, I saved about 58% percent. Not quite what I wanted to save, but more than my usual average in savings. So a good shopping day all around.
