My kids are obsessed. Last night I came home to find them watching “Raiders of the Lost Ark.” For the 100th time. As soon as I walked in the door CB ran to me and said, “I want to play Lego Indiana Jones!” I hadn’t even put my stuff down yet!
We talked CG into turning off the movie so we could play the game. I had another lightbulb moment and realized that all the “parcels” we’ve been collecting give us extra powers. Well, I knew that already, but didn’t realize that if I went into the options screen I could actually turn on those powers. So last night I turned on several that helped us out, the best of which was doubling the points we earn for the coins we collect (this is important seeing as house CB tends to lose his by running off cliffs or jumping into spears). We just kind of surfed through a few chapters from each movie and managed to get a couple new parcels, a couple more treasures, and a couple more “True Adventurer” notches on our belts.
What was cool was that the 2nd secret game was unlocked last night. It’s called “Ancient City” and it takes all the best things from the three movies and puts it into one game where the goal is to get 1,000,000 points in the shortest time possible. Because we had no idea what we were doing, it took us almost an hour to get 1,000,000 points. But I know that next time we play it’ll go much faster. I saw that someone online did it in about six minutes. Wow. That’s really impressive!
So at this point we’re about 85% through Game 1. And I have a feeling Game 2 and Game 3 are NOT “new” games but just the same game that you can start from scratch. Bummer. But it’s still a very fun game. I may send it to Ace when I get to 100% on game one so he can check it out.
Funny….
As I was reading down this post I thought to myself “self you really do need to go out and purchase this game, if Jaynee thinks its that great.”
Then i get to the bottom of the post and BAZOOW, you said you may send it to me when you get 100% done. Lets see if I do my math right and calculate the numbers of hours you play in a day then …. *click click click click* I should have the game no later than Saturday.
😉
You do realize that you will have some Explaining to do when you tell CB that you are sending away his FAVORITE game to Mr. Ace.
*lol* his birthday is coming up. What he doesnt’ know is he’ll be getting a NEW Wii game to take it’s place for a while.
I just hope that both kids are going to be able to concentrate on reading, writing, and arithmetic when they get into school. The three R’s aren’t going to be very thrilling.
Not to worry, Marmie – they still love storytime and CG is always grabbing a pen and writing in on a pad of paper whenever she gets a chance.
I think the schools just need to make learning more exciting.
