So I finally got a couple hours sleep this morning after my Night of Back Pain. From 5-7 a.m. I caught a few Z’s. Then Denis woke me up and asked me to drive him to the park/ride, which I happily did since my back began hurting as soon as I woke up.
The housecleaner was supposed to show up at 11 a.m., so around 9:30 I began a quick cleanup before she arrived (yes, you have to clean your house because your housecleaner arrives). By 1:17 p.m. she hadn’t showed, hadn’t called to let me know when she’d show, and I was more than a little ticked. So I called the main number and told them not to bother coming, and began cleaning the house myself. I concentrated on the two main bathrooms and they are spotless now. Or as near spotless as a 9-month pregnant lady can make them. I also did four loads of laundry. I was thisclose to mopping the kitchen floor but decided to wait and do that tomorrow, as well as dust and polish all the wood furniture.
My only other mission tomorrow is to go to Target and pick up new bathroom rugs. Mine is stained with hair dye from when I colored my hair a couple weeks ago, and Denis’ fell apart in the washing machine (who knew it was so old it would disintegrate when washed?).
As for my back, it didn’t hurt that badly today despite all my bending over and kneeling while cleaning the bathrooms. It was when I sat in one place for more than 30 minutes that it would get all twing-y. Luckily, Judge Judy’s show and People’s Court are each 30 minutes, so I knew when to get up and walk around. =)
ok. so we don’t live in the same city, but we apparently share the same housecleaner…. Ours also forgets to call and doesn’t show up, on a regular basis! But she does so a good job when she does show up, I don’t have the heart to fire her (also, I feel incredibly guilty having her in the first place… why can’t I clean my own damn house?!?!?!?).
It’s AI time tonight! Can’t wait for your take on it!!!!
