Okay, so out of the past four days I’ve done Wii Fit three times, 30 minutes each. This morning was my most aggressive 30 minutes. The “island lap” running option was unlocked, so I figured I’d give it a shot. Turns out it’s 10 minutes of running. So I did it twice. By the end I did 3 Wii miles in 20 minutes. On top of that I did some yoga, as well as a couple other aerobic things (step aerobics and hula hooping). I have a heart monitor on my Amazon wish list that I plan on getting so that I can track my heart rate while I’m exercising. If figure if I’m in the fat-burning target heart rate zone, then I’m doing good.
The scale still hasn’t budged since about 10-12 days ago. Admittedly I am NOT counting my calories as diligently as I should. I need to start that back up because it helps keep me accountable. And I know I’m hungrier because I’ve been burning more calories since we went to Disney World, but I still need to make sure I stay in the general 1300 calorie range that I’m supposed to be in. My next doctor appointment is this Wednesday. I shudder to see the results.
Either way, the Wii is awesome, worth every penny I’ve spent, and is a lot of fun. There’s nothing better than having your Mii walk a tightrope without falling and having your son come over a hug you, cheering, “I’m so proud of you!” with a big grin on his face. Which he does. Every. Single. Time.
