Lots of tv stuff to talk about people. First of all, I did not see last night’s episode of “American Idol” because in the giant game of Reality TV Paper/Rock/Scissors, Survivor beats AI2. But I did happen to catch who got kicked off, and who MAY get kicked off. I’m sad to see Charles go. Bad song choice not withstanding, he still has a great voice. Hopefully only good things will happen for him.
And how gratifying was it to see Corey Clark standing next to him as part of the bottom three? That was GREAT. Finally, all you nay-sayers who say I’m evil for speaking out against him – I HAVE BEEN VINDICATED! And also, apparently my simple blog DOES have the power to mold minds into voting my way. Imagine that – millions of people have been swayed to vote off Corey eventually. That’s outstanding, and my work here is nearly done.
I just wish I knew who the other person for the bottom three was. I can only presume it was Jooo-lia DeMato, who I saw was crying to beat the band during the closing credits. Crying because she knew she should have been kicked off last night, not Charles. She’s this year’s Nikki McKibben at this point. Bottom three every week, squeaking by for reasons unknown. But we’ll get her, my pretties, won’t we?
In other news, after Survivor I tuned in to Angel and let me just say this. Is it wrong that I got angry when they cut off the last scene of the episode to tell me they were bombing Iraq and that the Prez was going to speak to us at 10:15 p.m.? I mean, couldn’t they have frickin’ waited to tell me that crap at 10:00 p.m.? Willow was on Angel, and Faith was on Angel, and I just wanted to see the stupid last scene. IS THAT TOO MUCH TO ASK?
Side note: Due to the war, apparently half of New Jersey has called in sick to work. Denis and I arrived at our parking lot to catch the bus into NYC and the lot was half-empty. Apparently I didn’t get the memo that if war began in Iraq – you know, a country far away from here – going to work was optional for New Jerseyites.
AI2 – very interesting. Buh-bye Charles.
Angel vs The War – ya know, I think you’re justified in your anger. There was nothing to show people at all last night. They could have relayed the info by a crawl like they do weather bulletins. Five minutes isn’t going to make or break anyone’s war coverage.
War vs Work – While here in DC there were war protesters on one of the major bridges into the city that hosed traffic for those trying to get to work this morning. Nice…
I agree with you on Corey. I’m a bigger Survivor fan that AI2, but I’m starting to like it more, but it will never beat out Survivor.
That is exactly what I was saying last night when Angel was interrupted! The nerve. Why couldn’t they have waited until 10pm? What’s going to happen next week?
Damn it, I missed Survivor!!! Completely forgot it was going to be on last night. Waaaaah!
was corey kicked off american idol for assaulting his sister?
