The past two weeks have been miserable as far as my diet goes. I hit 21 pounds down and got cocky and stopped paying attention and tracking. As a result – in the past 14 days I’ve lost NO MORE WEIGHT. Fortunately I haven’t gained, but it SUCKS to know that I have my next medical study checkup in two weeks and they will wonder why I haven’t lost anything. So today I’m back on track mentally. I have two weeks. My goal is to lose 6 pounds in those two weeks. Ambitious? Absolutely. But it has happened before and it can happen again.
Starting tomorrow I will be reactivating two of my previous 30-day commitments. No chocolate for thirty days. No eating after 9:45 p.m. for thirty days. I’ve been getting really lax about eating M&Ms at my co-worker’s desk, and I’ve also been eating small snacks after 10:00 p.m.. So no more of that.
And starting today was my new 30-day commitment to get up at 6:30 a.m. EVERY DAY even on the weekends. The reason? So I can do a minimum of 20 minutes of exercise when I get up 4 of those days out of 7. The other days will be doing quick chores before the kids get up.
My short commitments work – so I’m reinstituting them for the next 30 days. And hopefully this will result in the scale moving again.
