Sewing

Ladies and Gentlemen – I have a sewing machine! When Denis got home we quickly got the sewing cabinet my mom gave me up into the guest/work room. It’s a perfect fit in the spot I made for it.

I immediately went to work cutting out some fabric (a patterned fleece and a solid flannel) to make a test “lovey” blanket. I carefully looked through the manual that came withe machine to make sure I had all the settings right. And then I slowly began sewing. Is it EVER an improvement on the old sewing machine. WOW! Once the initial stitching was done I decided to play a bit and put a specialty stitch around the outside of the lovey. I’m very pleased with my first effort.
