For a minute there I was paranoid that my main man Clay Aiken wasn’t going to be in the Top 12 on American Idol! But luckily he was America’s choice, and I’m thrilled. I am looking forward to the next several weeks as we weed out the herd a bit and narrow it down to the folks who can REALLY sing (Clay, the two Kimberlies, Charles, Ruben, and Trenyce). I think we have a Top 12 that is pretty talented and once we get to the Top 5 or so it’s going to be REALLY difficult to decide who stays or goes. We have no real RJ Helton’s or Nikki McKibben’s in this group, which is a relief.

Clay must go! I’m sorry, that was my rhetoric for last season’s Survivor. Never mind.
Unless she tanks one week, I think Trenyce may be the next American Idol.
it was great to see Clay make it to the next round (since he’s from Raleigh which is pretty close to where i live…) but personally i don’t think he’ll go all the way… he looks too “opie”-ish, don’t ya think?

Dan, Opie or not – I think the fact that even SIMON is coming around on his original opinion of Clay is an indicator that Clay will definitely go far. He’s got an amazing voice (dare I say infinitely better than JD Adams?).

But it once it’s narrowed down to the best voices, it will come down to “the look” and Clay doesn’t have it. Trenyce is the total package…she’s the winner.
I don’t know about Trenyce – there is something about her look that doesn’t do it for me. She maybe needs a new do and a different make-up look. It doesn’t look like star power to me. Clay has the stage presence that pulls an audience in. I think he has tremendous potential, especially as he matures in age.
I think Clay Rocks I love his songs and his music and his talent. I hope he wins! You can do it Clay I know you can do it.
Clay Aiken is the best in my opinion! He looks and Definitely sounds like an American Idol. I’ve never been obsessed over any famous person before~ that is untill I saw Clay!

My top picks are 1. Clay Aiken 2.Ruben Studdard 3. Kimberly Locke. None of them have the commercial brittany speares or justin timberlake look and I think that is to their benefit! They look like the majority of the country and they have the most talent by far!

As for Clay, yes he is most likely gay, but I don’t fault him for this. And so what if he kisses the girls when they do well and not the boys. No guys WOULD kiss the other guys if they did well – gay or straight.
Denis doesn’t hate Clay – in fact, we both are rooting for him to continue to do well.

Aiken for Clay – I think it was said in another thread that someone was going to have his babies – because I remember reading it as well.
Denis and I do both like Clay – but we are willing to see his limitations (he’s no pop idol, but he’d be great on Broadway).

Hey i forgot to tell you all of yall that im also Kate from a few entry’s ago. so yea im obbsessed…on the back of my moms car i wrote with window paint “Vote 4 Clay Aiken, American Idol!” its really cute and it gets out to others about clay. and specially cause i live right next to the city he lives in…yea but i cant stop thinking about him…people really need to start voting more for him cause in the begining everyone loved him and now everyone is likeing ruben since the whole 205 thing (which i think is half of his weight lol) ya so spread the word to all of your friends so he gets tons of votes! come on he needs it!
I think people always liked Reuben. And it’s probably because he can sing and deserves to win this contest. If you’re going to vote for the best over all singer/personality, Reuben is your man. The only problem is if he doesn’t lose weight soon, he may not be an idol for long.
