A Weight Loss Companion

Around the same time I started my 30-day commitments, I noticed that Erin at Gigglechick had started a new regimen of her own. While hers focused on working out with a trainer, mine was food based and consisted of taking out a few things from my diet. She started December 10, I started December 11. And as of today we’ve both lost weight (she’s lost about 8, I’ve lost 6). So I emailed her to see if she wanted to work together via our blogs, and keep each other committed. She forwarded her weight loss spreadsheet to me, which I promptly used to start my own tracking spreadsheet. She is brave, and shows her sheet online. I don’t know if I’m quite ready for that. She’s not as heavy as I am – if I were her current weight I’d probably make it public. If you have interest in viewing my spreadsheet, I can add you as a viewer – just email me at cootiehog AT gmail DOT com and if I wouldn’t be embarrassed for you to see the numbers, I’ll add you as a viewer. If you are someone I’d prefer not see those numbers, you ain’t gettin’ in!!!

In any event, I now have three things that are keeping me accountable – I’ve got my Year in 30 Days commitments, Gigglechick, and a local mommies forum on which we’re doing a five-month Biggest Loser contest (winner gets prizes). Now if I can just find a local mom who is a member of my gym that will work out with me, I’ll be golden. Most of the moms doing the BL contest are in Rock Hill, which is the next town south of here.
