Taking a page from Amy, I’m bolding little bits of the post to highlight the important bits. I find that I’ve actually enjoyed that addition on her blog.
Oh life, why must you be so busy?
Work has been tragically busy the past couple of days. I was working until 8 p.m. on Monday night doing a project for Mr. BIL. I was able to leave on time yesterday, but up until 4 p.m. I was covered in work as Mr. BIL had a hearing at the courthouse in the afternoon. Today Mr. BIL’s calendar is clear, so I’m hoping the large variety of tasks he has been avoiding the past couple days can get done so that my desk gets cleaned off. Which reminds me – his sparkling clean office I created for him on December 31? Back to it’s old mess. SO frustrating.
My first night of “no food after 9:30 p.m.” went well. I had a small piece of coffee cake at 9:15 p.m. and was done for the night. Then in a fit of crazy I opted to go to bed early – hitting the sack at 10:30 p.m.! That never happens! It was a great night’s sleep though, since CootieBoy stayed in his own bed all night long.
In other news, I ordered a bunch of new fleece for blankets yesterday. I found some really good sales for prices that couldn’t be beat. I also remembered that I owed a co-worker a blanket for taking care of my kids for an entire day back when I had a market in Charlotte, so I had her pick her fabrics and ordered that as well.
This morning CootieGirl woke up in an amazingly good mood. Seriously – she was running around playing before I even got out of bed. I was able to get CootieBoy out of bed with few complaints. I opted to get them completely ready for school before I even hopped in the shower, just to see if it made my morning easier. Sure enough, it did (it helped they were in good moods too, as that makes them more compliant). We still left the house a few minutes late, but that was because I forgot to take out my lunches for the next couple of days.
So, Clinton and McCain won the NH Primary. Very interesting. I read a good post on a blog yesterday about how the lesser candidates are really getting a raw deal. I totally agree. You NEVER hear about Bill Richardson on the Democratic side, and you never hear about Ron Paul on the Republican side. And because of that, it’s possible that a lot of people are ignoring (thanks, media!) some decent candidates that just might be BETTER than Obama, Hillary, John, Mitt or Mike. I visited Ron Paul’s website at the behest of the blogger I read yesterday (I can’t remember which oen – so sorry!) and I was really impressed with him. Even Denis admitted that Ron Paul seems like a good candidate, and he’s not fond of Republicans at all!
Tonight is band practice for Sunday. It should be quick since we’re only doing three songs, and two of them are older. I have to remember to go home first to get my keyboard and equipment, as well as slam down some dinner since I guarantee I won’t be home before 9:00 p.m., which is taking a chance on being able to have dinner before my 9:30 p.m. cutoff.
If I wanted to be a real snitty twitty I would remind everyone that the last time we had a budget surplus, a Democrat was in the White House (Clinton).
But I don’t want to be one, so I won’t remind you.
Yes, but wasn’t that a result of the things done in the prior administration?
