A Good Day

I’m sure most of you are eating your Christmas dinner while I’m posting this. We opted not to do a big fancy dinner since the kids rarely eat what we prep, and Denis and I had ham for dinner a couple nights ago. So he’s prepping a pizza crust and will be using his new pizza stone to make homemade pizza for dinner, which the kids WILL eat.

The kids have had a fun day. They love their new toys and spent the entire afternoon pingponging back and forth between the four top toys of the day: The video game bike, the GeoTrax train set, the mini train track and the gorgeous wooden farm set that my parents got CootieBoy. We only had a couple sharing issues, and for the most part they’ve done well playing together (CootieBoy only hit CootieGirl once twice in the head with toys).

While they were busy playing with their new things I went up to their rooms and did another cleanout. I did one a couple of days ago and set out some things we’ll be giving to their cousin, Baby Jesse, this weekend when we drive to Virginia. I also filled a plastic bag with junk. Today I filled another bag with junk and picked out a couple more toys that we’ll be taking Baby Jesse. I now have made enough room that I can condense his toys and take out one of the three small bookcases from CootieBoy’s room and move it into my room (I have need for more bookshelves – mine are overflowing again). This will open up space in CB’s room for his new GeoTrax and farm set.

And CootieGirl is on her third set of clothes for the day. Who does she think she is? Britney? (I hope not)
