So this morning I took the kids over to gymnastics. They were super-excited and chomping at the bit to get at the equipment in their particular classroom. We got there first but eventually more little girls showed up. Unfortunately, they all showed up in leotards and CootieGirl got VERY upset that she wasn’t in a leotard. I told her that we’d get one this week if she decided she wanted to do gymnastics every week. One of the girls who was teaching came over and consoled her and reassured her that her clothes were great. Fortunately, that was all CootieGirl needed and she ran into the gymnastics area, ready to go.
CootieBoy loved being with all the chicks (he was the lone dude in the place) and during the stretching time I thought that maybe he’s too young for it – he was not listening to the teachers at all and while obviously thrilled with the new adventure, didn’t seem too into it. However, once the tumbling started he was all over it. He was a natural and after seeing a ten step tumbling “routine” he proceeded through the whole thing as though he had been doing it for weeks.
CootieGirl also seemed to enjoy the tumbling, although she is a little less coordinated that CootieBoy. But the smile on her face when she was praised by the teachers was all I needed to know she would want to go back for more.
So on Monday night I’ll stop in and sign up for the January/February session for both kids. Yet more of my Pay Per Post money going to work for me. *lol* NONE of the PPP money has gone to existing debt yet, but fortunately it is coming in handy in helping me avoid MORE debt. Tomorrow I’ll take the kids to Target and buy a cheap leotard for CootieGirl and try to find something for CootieBoy.
