A few years ago Denis and I jokingly thought about sponsoring a mile of highway near our house under the name of Cootiehog. We never did it because the idea of cleaning a mile of highway all by ourselves didn’t appeal. We thought about opening up a shop to sell mousepads, coffee mugs, etc. with the Cootiehog name on it, but never got around to it since our website isn’t really one of the “big” blogs in the sphere. I know other more popular bloggers sell stuff with their brand on it and do quite well. Well, Cootiehog doesn’t have a logo, but the idea of selling t-shirts that have Cootiehog on them somehow would be hilarious.
Enter bluecotton.com, a website that does custom t-shirts. On a lark, I went through their whole ordering process, and it was dead easy. Most of all, it was fun. You select which style of t-shirt you want to use, and then you are taken into the design center where you can select fonts for your text, including effects like outlining, colors or shadows. Then you can pick from clip art – they even had little bugs that I could use for the Cootiehog! You can also upload your own custom logo if you want to, or surf through their pre-made designs for inspiration.
I calculated an order for 25 shirts (five each from S-XXL) and the total price was very reasonable AND there was free shipping. So if you are looking to try and make up some custom t-shirts complete with logos, specialized fonts and creative flair, then BlueCotton.com is the place for you!
