No, not me – although eventually do I plan on going back. Shut up.
No, the KIDS are now signed up for gymnastics. I stopped by there last night after work to drop off the check and take a quick tour of the place. I took CootieBoy with me since he was being fussy at home and after the registration was done he claimed he wanted to go home.
“But don’t you want to see?” I asked him.
He began to cry a bit, still saying he wanted to go home. So I picked him up and carried him through the gym. The facilities are decent – there are parent sitting areas so that they can watch the kids do their thing without getting in the way. Then there is a larger room for older children who actually know what they are doing. Last night they had pre-teen girls in there having a practice session. As soon as CootieBoy saw the tween girls running around in leotards and doing flips and cartwheels he was entranced. When we were done with the tour I said, “Okay, it’s time to go.”
“Nooooo!” he cried. “I want to stay with the grills!” (when he talks too fast he says grill instead of girl)
“You can see the girls another day – we’ll be back in two weeks and you can play and have fun.”
“Noooo!!! GRIIIIIILLLLLLLLLLSSSS!!!”
He eventually calmed down when I showed him the area where he would do somersaults, cartwheels, balance beam, and whatever else they have in store for the kids over the first four weeks of gymnastics that he’d be experiencing.
Aw, too cute! The grills mesmerized Cootie Boy, eh? hee.
