Man, it is quiet not only in my office but in the Blogosphere. Is it because Monday is a holiday for a lot of folks in the US? I don’t think my phone has rung once in the past two hours. And our parking garage was half empty when I came back from lunch around 2 p.m. And traffic this morning was super light.
On the interweb, my Google Reader has been depressingly quiet as well. The only ones updating with any kind of frequency are the celeb gossip blogs that I read. And I’m skipping half of those since there’s only so much I can read about the writer’s strike and what celeb is on the picket line today.
I’m hoping that Blondie Boss leaves early today – if she does I am OUT OF HERE. She hasn’t mentioned anything though, and her calendar is empty. But she normally leaves at 5 p.m. so I’ll know more then. If she doesn’t leave at 5 p.m., that means she’s staying late which means I’ll need to stay here until my normal leaving time. Arg.
I did manage to get some stuff done after Mr. BIL left at noon. My desk is surprisingly cleared off, which is a nice way to go into the weekend. I’m hoping to clear it off even more on Monday – that’ll depend on how available Mr. BIL is on Monday between his meetings.
You may or may not hear from me again today. Tomorrow we’re heading to the Southern Christmas Show in Charlotte. Supposedly it’s a madhouse on the weekend, but I think the kids will enjoy seeing Santa Claus.
