WordPress Plugins

Okay, so I’ve made more changes to WordPress. I added a couple new plugins – notably a polling plugin to be used in the future and a plugin that allows all AUTHOR comments to be highlighted in a way as to stand out from regular comments. You’ll see my comments and Denis’ comments show up in a yellow box inside the comment area.

I also added back my “if you like this post” plugin – I had turned it off when I had an unexpected (and local) bug occur after my upgrade, but that is now fixed. It had nothing to do with WordPress or the plugin – it was my own error that I fixed.

Lastly, I added the “OneClick installer” plugin which will allow me to upload plugins and themes via my WordPress interface as opposed to logging into my host’s FTP and uploading everything there. that’s one of the main reasons why I load up plugins in batches – because it’s annoying to log in to the FTP. Now I won’t have to and will just add plugins when I find something interesting.

I did load “Who Sees Ads” which is a plugin that allows me to put my Google ads ONLY on old posts and not on the front page, but that overloaded my usage limits. At least, I think that was the culprit. So I’ve deactivated it until I can take a look and see 1) how to implement it and 2) why it might have overloaded my limits.

To see all my active plugins, just go to the “My Plugins” page for a complete list of all ACTIVE plugins. It does not show the 5-7 I currently have deactivated.
