Denis made it home yesterday – a couple hours late due to a plane delay, but home nonetheless. The kids were THRILLED to have him home.
About 20 minutes after he got home we headed out to an orientation dinner with all of the couples who are going to be part of our church life group. There were five couples total. Three couples had toddler-aged kids, one is due with their first next week, and the fifth has no kids and no plans to have kids anytime soon. You know after last night’s chaos (all the kids were there for this kick-off event) they are wondering if there is another group they can join. *lol*
Everyone was really nice, but I’m going to have a terrible complex because all the women are GORGEOUS and then there is frumpy old me. But hey! I’m the funny one! I make people laugh! Arg.
This week is a busy week – I have a ticket to this Wednesday’s “So You Think You Can Dance” tour stop here in Charlotte. Thursday I have band practice. Then on Saturday Denis and CootieGirl are heading to a play at the children’s theater. Then next Monday Denis and I have tix to a comedy show featuring all the contestants from “Last Comic Standing.” BUSY BUSY.
But a FUN busy couple of weeks!
