Airports and Rain

After about a month of drought, it’s raining here in the Charlotte area. On the day I’M BOARDING AN AIRPLANE to fly to NYC. SO not right. My flight had BETTER be an originating flight so that it’s not delayed elsewhere arriving into Charlotte. And it had BETTER not leave late from the airport because I’m on a tight schedule to pick up that rental car I have booked in EWR. The car rental place closes at 11 p.m. If I don’t get there by 10:59 p.m. they may not let me pick up my car. Which leaves me stranded at NEWARK AIRPORT at 11 p.m. at night. NOT FUN.

So let’s all do that anti-rain dance right now, and ask the rain to stop and pick up TOMORROW.

In other news, I’ve been watching the parking updates at Charlotte Airport all day and decided that I would cab it down there and cab it back on Monday morning. But when I asked our head HR lady what the best cab company to use would be, she said, “Me! I’ll drive you!” I protested a few times and then cheerfully took her up on the offer. She leaves promptly at 5 p.m. WOO HOO!!! On Monday I’ll cab it back to the office, and it’ll be almost the same cost as it would have been if I parked in airport parking for 4 1/2 days.

Are you blogging for money now? Because that link, while well placed, has nothing to do with your post.

Jen, not necessarily blogging for money, but I’ve installed a couple plugins recently, including an Amazon plugin that will automatically link certain keywords.
