So I’ve been online hunting around for possible reasons for this perpetual metallic taste in my mouth. Turns out, that one website has a lot of testimonials that it is due to antihistimine use. Now, I did use antihistimines about two or three weeks ago when my allergies were kicking my butt. I used them for about five days, twice a day. So it makes me wonder if there is any correlation.
Our HR lady recommended I try drinking a Coke as her own dentist recommended Coke to remove the taste of blood in her mouth after she had sinus surgery. She claimed it worked. I had a few sips last night but almost prefer the constant taste of metal versus any carbonated beverage (especially Coke, which is just sugar water and absolutely disgusting). My next attempt will be baking soda, which one homeopathic website recommended (as did another coworker). The negative? It can take two weeks before the baking soda takes effect. Hmmm….
You could always take up drinking blood… then you would never know the difference.
