A Case In Point

Last night, I asked CootieBoy to sing his colors song for Denis. He refused. CootieGirl hopped up and down, “I’ll sing it! I’ll sing it!” Figuring she might know the song as well, I urged her to sing.

She began jumping as she sang a random tune with words something along the lines of, “Blue (jump) blue (jump) blue (jump), with pink and yellow and green (jump jump jump). And an H for Hot and B for Blue.” (Our “Letters with Tad” DVD was on, thus the improv of throwing letters in her song).

I praised her creativity, gave her a hug, and she went back to her coloring.

Then I asked CootieBoy to sing again. He acquiesced and began singing to the tune of “Twinkle Twinkle Little Star.”

“Red and Orange and Green and Blue,
Sunny Yellow, Purple, Too.
All the colors that you know,
Shining in a bright rainbow.
Red and orange and green and blue,
sunny yellow, purple, tooooooooo”

See what I was saying now, in my other post? CootieBoy is Broadway musical, CootieGirl off-Broadway performance art.
