Joy Is…

listening to CootieBoy sing.

I love when he sings. Because he’s so random about it.

CootieGirl? She’s very into making up songs, which shows she’s still very creative, but ask her to sing a “real” song and unless it’s very basic, she can’t (read: won’t) do it.

CootieBoy? He sings freakin’ “Defying Gravity” from the play ‘Wicked.’ Seriously.

(clip of the original Wicked – not CootieBoy’s version – song starts about 30-45 seconds in)

But that’s not all. Yesterday, he also began randomly singing “Thy Word” which is an old Amy Grant song which was redone by Veggietales. And then there’s Paul Baloche’s “What Can I Do”, which is a staple. And the “American Tail” soundtrack. While CootieGirl loves to sing and be a princess and “perform” her “songs”, CootieBoy will just sit and quietly sing actual songs while playing.
