Beach Blanket Bingo

No, we didn’t go to the beach. No, we didn’t play bingo. But I did make – count ’em! – three adult size blankets and one baby receiving blanket. I have pieces cut out for five more baby blankets which I’ll try to do tomorrow. Then it’s on to painting for at least a couple weeks while I wait for my other fleece orders to come in.

Tomorrow I HAVE to take the kids to the pool for a couple hours. Yesterday and today I just didn’t feel like it. But CootieGirl remembered late today that I had mentioned going and got very upset when I said she’d have to wait until tomorrow. So I have to take them.

It has been a good weekend. Church went well this morning – the set wasn’t as smooth as practice was, but it was still pretty darn good. The kids have had their bickering, but they have their moments where they are a pure joy. Moments like CootieGirl randomly dancing to a song in “Chitty Chitty Bang Bang” which was on TV today. Moments like CootieBoy playing by himself in another room and suddenly starting to sing “What Can I Do” by Paul Baloche without any prompting in any way.

I love your blankets, Jaynee. I just checked out your Etsy, and my favorite is the animal print baby blanket. You should make that one in a BIG size too!

Thanks, Meghan – maybe I’ll take you up on the suggestion soon – but I have a LOT of fleece fabric on order and should probably use that before buying anymore…unless you are saying you’d BUY one, in which case I’ll definitely order more. 🙂
