I’m leaving early today. Mr. BIL is gone at a closing and wasn’t sure if he’d be back, and I don’t know if Blondie Boss is gonna have anything for me to do in the next hour. It is EMPTY around here as people leave for the weekend. So I’ve already hollered out to Blondie Boss that I’m leaving at 5:40 p.m. today. With any luck I’ll get home by 6:10 p.m. and can be at the pool with the kids by 6:30 p.m. so they can have a good 90 minutes in the pool. I’ll take them again tomorrow once we get home from the festival in York. LOTS of pool time planned to take advantage of the decent weather (and by “decent” I mean under 100 degrees).
Update at 5:46 p.m.: So much for that. Mr. BIL showed up about 20 minutes ago and said, “Okay, what can we get out before 6 p.m.?” And just like that – I’m here ’til closing. It’s just as well, since I remembered that our community pool has new hours for the last two weeks of summer – the pool is closing at 7 p.m. tonight so even if I had taken the kids they would have only gotten 30 minutes of pool time.
