Okay, since the eBay thing didn’t work out (I’m in the process of retracting my bid), I located a keyboard on Craiglist. I looked at both Charlotte’s and Columbia’s list and there were a few options there, and contacted a seller about one. It was still available and we negotiated a price after I did some research to make sure it’s what I wanted (it’s not a Korg Triton LE). The price is a bit higher than I wanted to spend (i.e., it’ll use ALL of my post-tax bonus as opposed to leaving me a little leftover), but it looks to be a great keyboard and I’ll be picking it up on Sunday afternoon.
Okay, I just popped into eBay again in case I had a message update from eBay on my complaints. And another buyer has come forward with a negative feedback complaint about the seller – and this was not even one that I had messaged with! I continue to be SO GRATEFUL that I didn’t pay this guy. Normally I pay for items super-quick but because this was a big ticket item I waited. SMART MOVE!
And next time maybe you’ll listen to me and won’t even place a bid until you get an email back from the seller with the answer to the question you had. LOL
No, I’ve still had good transactions with sellers who don’t answer my queries. I mainly base my bid on the past feedback – if a seller has 100+ feedbacks and have been around a while, then I know they are on the up and up. That’s what was so crazy about this transaction – this guy did have a few negatives, but they were over a year ago and only brought his approval percentage down to 96% or so, which I think is still good. Well, after all this stuff it has obviously gone down a bit more. *lol*
