Whoa.

Came in this morning to find a brand new desktop computer sitting in the spot where my dusty five year old desktop formerly sat. This one is about the size of two stacked TV dinners, and is loaded up with Microsoft Office 2003. I’m so 21st Century now!

Our IT guy is running around showing everybody how to function in their interface screens, and when he came to me he said, “Are you all set?” (he knows I’m techie like that). I said I was, and the ONLY thing he had to show me is that I don’t need Acrobat anymore to convert a document to PDF – Office does it automatically if you ask it to. He showed me that function and I’m TOTALLY impressed. So now he’s off to another cubicle to explain the easy stuff to the computer illiterate.

What’s even cooler – my CPU has a spot in the FRONT of the machine to plug in the speaker cord. So I can flip back and forth between my MP3 player and the CPU whenever I want, instead of struggling to plug it in back into the back of the CPU.

So far I’m liking it!
