The Firm is out of control. This morning I came into work and found a card on my chair. I opened it and it’s a $25 gift card to a local spa with a note that says, “Happy Summer!”
They gave me a HAPPY SUMMER gift. What kind of company does that? That makes at least four cards in the past year with cash or gifts in it from the company. I mean hey – that’s awesome, but WOW – I’m still not used to it.
I have SO many spa-related gift cards now, and no time to use them. I have a manicure gift card I got in December 2006 from the Firm’s bike messenger (yes, even the MESSENGER gives out thank you cards), a massage gift card I got from Denis in February, a spa gift card I got in June from my bosses and now this manicure gift card in July from the Firm.
I need to get crackin’ and start making myself all fancy.
In other news, this morning I used one of the AmEx gift cards that my mom gave me and bought some things at Amazon. And I still have another AmEx card to use at some point.
wow, in the tv dept we only get a xmas bonus… Jealousy is kicking in.
Um, Jen and I could use a spa day. 🙂

I work for a not-for-profit and I enjoy the same bi-weekly paycheck as the government workers.
Yay for 2 (and sometimes 3!) paychecks per month for me. My boss also gives out gift cards for random holidays, usually to make up for the fact we’re actually having to work on the holiday itself. Mine are always to Wal-Mart, though I keep telling her she should feed my addiction to office supplies by giving me a Staples gift card.
