Wow…Has It Really Been A Year?

One year ago today we packed up our house in NoNJ and moved to SC totally on faith that this was the right move. Boy, how God has blessed us!!

1) I got a job within two weeks of our arrival – and it’s a job that I love more than any job I’ve ever had in my LIFE
2) We found a great daycare with teachers that our kids love
3) We found a wonderful house to buy the week after I started my new job
4) After visiting a handful of churches we found our church home in our fifth month here
5) Denis spent nine months giving RE a try before deciding to get a “real” job – and found one within a month of actively sending out resumes

Now begins the next phase: Settling into our groove. In the second year I pray we become closer to people in the church (we will start meeting with a new small group that is forming in August). I pray we’ll become closer to a few more people in the neighborhood. I pray we’ll become more involved with the local area and what it has to offer. I pray my kids continue to grow and blossom in this environment. I pray that our jobs continue to be fulfilling.

The first year here has been amazing and I don’t regret our decision to move here at all. Our last year in NoNJ was frightening – we were at the end of our financial rope with nothing in sight to save us. And yet God spoke plainly to us and with Him everything fell into perfect place from the moment we put the NoNJ house on the market to the moment Denis got his full-time job a few months ago.
