TV: BB8 and The Mole

bb8.jpgI can’t believe I almost forgot that Big Brother 8 starts tonight! See, the problem is that I Tivo all my television viewing, and fast forward through the commercials. So most of the time I miss the commercials for things I might be interested in watching. And since I hardly watch CBS (except for “How I Met Your Mother”, whose reruns I have not been watching this summer), that gives me even less opportunity to see the reminders about Big Brother.

Fortunately, I did see one news article about it. So tonight I’ll race home and set my Tivo to tape it this summer. I wish every year could be All Stars, but alas, this season it’s a bunch of newbies in the house. But I’m sure by Week 2 I won’t care that Janelle and Will aren’t there for my personal amusement.

And HOW GREAT have the reruns of “The Mole” been on Fox Reality Channel? Have you been watching? Because I have. I’m still so mad that 1) I didn’t audition to be on Season 2 so I could be close to my beloved Anderson Cooper, 2) CNN played hardball with Anderson Cooper and wouldn’t let him do even one more season, and 3) they didn’t get Kathy Griffin to the host a season three after her awesomeness on the celebrity version.

Even knowing who the Mole is doesn’t detract from this awesome show. If anything, it enhances it since I can watch the Mole work (or not work) throughout the whole season. Just an awesome game and should have been on tv as long as The Amazing Race has been on. It’s one of the better reality game shows that was ever created.

I had no idea BB8 was starting tonight. It must be the TIVO thing.
The only shows we watch live are the news and Sports Center. Thanks
for the reminder…I just had him set up the season pass!!!

The only reality shows I’ve ever watched have been The Mole and The Amazing Race, I think they are a little similar. Anderson and Phil are both inscrutable hosts, the games are interesting and challenging and they go to lovely locales. I hope Fox will also show The Mole 2.
