Church was great yesterday – we got the band set up in record time – we had 30 minutes of extra time once the runthrough was done. We NEVER have 30 minutes of extra time! Usually we have 10 minutes! Everything flowed nicely and the sermon was really good. While breaking down the equipment after the service I got to talk with our drummer, who is married to one of the other keyboardists. Turns out they love a good game night (he said his favorite card game is SPADES, so I knew I liked him for a reason). So they have been invited to our poker night and I hope they can make it.
I went home to see about Denis and CootieBoy. CootieBoy woke up with some redness in his eyes and better to be safe than sorry, Denis kept him home from church. We gave him some pink eye medicine and then I kept CootieBoy occupied while Denis worked on my mom’s website. I tell ya, that boy may have had pink eye, but he wasn’t gonna be kept down by it. That boy played hard ALL DAY. The only time he stopped was to watch “An American Tail” on TV. He actually sat still for a good 45 minutes watching it. During that time Denis went out to the grocery store and I got online for a bit. But the minute I came back into the TV room to finish watching the movie with CootieBoy, he was off like a shot again – playing, running, causing chaos.
I did manage to get some painting done – I worked on two more small (5×7) abstract paintings. I really like both of them and will probably wait to list them after this Thursday’s art market, if they don’t sell.
Later in the evening, once we got CootieBoy into bed, Denis remained on the computer (yes, he was on the computer almost the whole weekend – my mom has a preferred deadline on this website and so he’s putting in a LOT of time on it to try and meet that deadline). I went into the TV room and just relaxed for the evening.
Relaxed so much that I woke up at 5:30 a.m. to find myself still on the sofa in front of the tv. Went upstairs to find CootieBoy on my side of the bed. So I pushed him over and passed out for the remaining two hours of the night.
Get used to me spending many more hours on that computer working on your mom’s site.
I have lots more to do before that goes live. Then after it’s all done, I’ll powerwash the house.
