Mike Flowers vs. Richard Cheese

For the past year or so I’ve been a fan of Mike Flowers Pops, a musician who does loungey send-ups of such musical groups as The Doors or Oasis. Whereas Weird Al redos the song with different words, Mike Flowers does that actual song but changes it to a lounge sound.

Then my sister emails me the other day and tells me she saw his competition: a man named Richard Cheese. Now, Mr. Cheese does more recent covers, including a hilarious cover of “Baby Got Back” by the inimitable Sir Mix-a-Lot.

I’m torn as to who will be my favorite.

I can’t believe I found something cool before you did. And why didn’t I post about him at my blog first? *dope slapping myself*

“redos”? wth is that? *laughing* I know what you’re trying to say, but you couldn’t look it up?

the only song i’ve heard richard cheese was when his cover of “down with the sickness” was on the movie “dawn of the dead”. It was hilarious and i think i might buy the cd.
