Movie: My Super Ex-Girlfriend

Here’s another load of garbage that I watched while Denis was out of town last week. Poor Luke Wilson – what on EARTH made him sign on for this one? Oh I know – Ivan Reitman was the director. Well, not every Ivan Reitman production is worth participating in (see “Space Jam”, “EuroTrip”, or “Six Days Seven Nights” as proof).

IMDB describes the plotline as this:

When a regular guy (Luke Wilson) dumps a superhero (Uma Thurman) because of her neediness, she uses her powers to make his life a living hell.

My life was a living hell just watching it. Not even having Dwight Schrute (okay, well, the actor that plays Dwight Schrute (Rainn Wilson)) in the movie made it palatable. Painfully bad writing, lackluster special effects, and more than a little bit of overacting on Uma’s part makes this an easy movie to pass by. You won’t regret it.

1 star out of five. After all, it DID have Dwight Schrute.
