I have the football painting up at Etsy. I’m pretty pleased with it. I also prepped a teddy bear painting (which is going to be GREAT when it’s done – just the outline of the bear looks awesome at this point) and an angel painting. I’ll work on those tonight. I like that my art is so simple that I can do one a night AND get others prepped. I’m now averaging about 3 hours from start to finish on each paintings.
I also ordered free business cards from VistaPrint today. I got 250 cards and all I had to pay was the $5.45 for shipping. I’ll be able to put these cards in with my eventual shipments as well as put them out at various local crafts fairs that I am going to try to exhibit with.
Once I get some down time here at work I plan on asking one of the lawyers about the easiest/best way to go about getting a D/B/A in South Carolina. The SC website is convoluted and I can’t tell if I just need a retail license, an LLC, a D/B/A, or all three. Once I find out exactly what I have to do I’ll set up a new bank account at our local bank for all business expenses. I’m so serious about doing this legitimately and really trying to make something of this and I want to strike while my enthusiasm-iron is hot!
