This morning at about 6 a.m. I woke up to find CootieBoy in our bed. I only woke up because he kind of squealed in his sleep. I was shocked – I hadn’t even heard him come in during the night! I later asked Denis what time CootieBoy craweled in the bed and he had no idea – he had slept through it too.
The boy has gotten stealthy – able to climb into our bed and get settled without even bothering us.
This is NOT good.
He WILL eventually get past this. Our son went through it when he was around three years old. I thought we would never get a whole night’s sleep again, but eventually he did stop looking for us during the night. Now he is grown and married and we NEVER see him!
What you need, my friend, is booby traps. That’ll learn him!
Bev – yes, if he is still attempting to sleep in our bed after he gets married and moves out, then we have a SERIOUS problem!
Monkee – we’ve tried baby gates and he climbs over them. Any other recommendations?
What about a cheap motion detector, like those frogs that croak when you walk in front of them?
…or a motion detector light would work too. He won’t even know what hit him.
How about locking your bedroom door? 😉
Put a bell on him. 😀
