The Sleeper and The Urinator

And without incident! I’m so pleased. Last night CootieBoy had a bath and then after some playtime in his room (which he protested fiercely at first because he realized he was going to bed soon), he climbed onto his bed (willingly!) and listened to part of a story. I was able to get him to lay down, I turned off the light and put on music, and within ten minutes he was asleep and I snuck out.

He woke up briefly around midnight but I was able to get up and get him back into bed with minimal fuss and he passed out a few minutes later.

He once again woke up at 6:40 a.m., at which time Denis got up for the day and kept him company downstairs so I could sleep a bit longer.

While CootieBoy had a good night, CootieGirl had a not-so-good night. At 2:30 a.m. she came into our room crying. “Mama,” she wailed, “I’m wet.” I got up and found that from head to toe she was soaked in pee. Gross. I led her to the bathroom, ran a bath, stripped her down and got her into the tub for a middle-of-the-night soak. While she was in the tub I changed her bedding. Once she was thoroughly soaped down and cleaned up I got her into some fresh pajamas and a pull-up (at her request – she said she didn’t want to wet the bed again) and into her clean bed. I was then back in bed by 3:15 a.m. after taking the dirty linens and clothes down to the laundry room and getting those in for washing.

So while it was a *good* night for CootieBoy, it was a *bad* night for CootieGirl, and a *long* night for Jaynee.

Yes, I just referenced myself in the third person.
