I got this cd for Christmas and I have been meaning to post about it for a couple weeks.
You may recall that I loved Chris Daughtry on last season’s American Idol. But I’m so grateful he didn’t win. Because this cd is pure Chris Daughtry and I fear that if he had been the one to win the album would NOT be pure Chris Daughtry.
He wrote almost all of the tracks on the cd, and all of the tracks are good. Read that again. All the tracks are good. Yep, that’s right. Not a stinker on the whole thing. It’s just very well done and enjoyable to listen to. His vocals are strong, the melodies are good, and the music is great. I saw him perform on Dick Clark’s Rockin’ New Year’s Eve telecast and thought he was emoting a bit TOO much, but the same track on the album is perfectly done.
If you like good solid rock and roll, then this cd (I keep wanting to call it an ALBUM, or a RECORD), is for you.

I got Daughtry for Christmas too! I love the sound of his voice, but I haven’t been able to really learn the CD yet, as Pastor received several new CDs as well. Gotta wait my turn. Soon though, very soon. : )
TPW – you will NOT be disappointed! It’s a fantastic CD and one that will be well worn by me!
