I’m back at work today – CootieBoy had a much better night last night, going to bed at 9 p.m. with minimal coughing and only waking at 4 a.m. with a few phlegmy coughs before passing out again.
He and I had a good day together yesterday – he’s a different child when CootieGirl is not around. Less combative.
We also found a medicine that he was willing to take more than once. Mucinex has a granulated medicine that we told CootieBoy was Pop Rocks. He gobbled up the stuff. This morning, though, he didn’t want it, but I think it was more because he didn’t want to go to school than not wanting to take the medicine. If he balks again tonight I may mix in actual Pop Rocks with the medicine in order to get him to take them (he loves Pop Rocks and yes, we have them in the house).
I’m glad to hear CootieBoy’s better — it was kind of sounding like whooping cough there. Not fun!
Where were poprocks & granulated meds when I was trying to pour triaminic down my girls’ throats?!
🙂
Have you tried giving some Pop Rocks to Cooper?
He may still have whooping cough. I know that was going around the day care at some point.
Maybe it’s the croup?
*lol* It’s not croup, it’s not whooping cough. It’s a head cold with nasal drip that is aggravating his throat thus causing a cough.
