Last night we were able to watch “Inside Man” starring Denzel Washington, Clive Owen and Jodie Foster, among others. It’s an udpate on the standard bank heist flick (with Denzel as the detective, Clive as the robber, and Jodie as a woman who solves problems for very rich people), and despite falling asleep for 8 minutes in the middle of the movie I found it to be really well written and thoroughly enjoyed it.
It’s a Spike Lee movie, but is not typical of his past work at all in that it is much more subdued and just tells the story (whereas some of his past work relied too much on camera angles and quirky photography).
A great rental for a lazy Sunday.
