It is 5:11 a.m. and I can’t sleep. I fell asleep watching tv earlier this evening and woke up around 3 a.m., watched tv for a bit and then tried going to bed for real around 4 a.m. However, between Denis’ snoring and CootieBoy’s bedhogging (yes, he’s in the bed), by 4:30 a.m. I decided to come down and check emails.
Forty-five minutes later and I’m still up.
In other news, I had told Denis earlier today that my goal for the evening was to put at least 20 boxes up in the attic, unpack 10 boxes and set up two bookshelves in the garage. This way I wouldn’t feel guilty about us going to the zoo over the weekend. I got home and we got caught up with the kids for a couple hours. Then we settled down to have some dinner and chill out watching tv. Around 9 p.m. Denis said, “You ready to tackle the garage?”
I groaned, saying, “Why do I make these stupid goals for myself?”
I slipped on my shoes and reluctantly went into the garage.
To find it nearly spotless and organized! Apparently Denis spent the whole day sorting through EVERYTHING in the garage and getting it organized. Christmas stuff is here, poker stuff is there, games are all here, and garage sale stuff is there. Freezer is plugged in and ready to go. Fridge has been put back together and once we get a new bracket for one door we can plug it in. A multitude of boxes has been placed in the attic for storage. There is actually enough room in the garage for me to park my car now!!
I obviously gave him a huge hug and kiss and told him he rocked. I was SO impressed I can’t even tell you. No, I didn’t get any boxes unpacked, but Denis did way more in the garage than I ever thought would be possible in one day, and more than made up for that.
A few minutes ago I posted a notice at our HOA message board about our garage sale – I’m going to do one next weekend and figure with the amount of stuff I’m trying to sell I may be able to make about $200!
