The Thrill of Clean Laundry and Other Monotony

Our washer and dryer is installed and we have CLEAN CLOTHES! YAY! The configuration is less than attractive (the dryer sticks out about 6″ because of the hose in the back), but at least I can wash clothes again.

In other news, we moved about 25 boxes to the attic for storage, so my goal for the evening was definitely taken care of. We also moved all the boxes from the living room into the dining room to make space for the entertainment center that’s being delivered in a couple days.

I finished CootieGirl’s mural tonight. I had put off painting the last coat of paint on the princess and did it tonight while CootieGirl kept me company. It is now officially DONE and I’ll take a picture of it tomorrow morning so you can see. In a few weeks once things calm down around here I’ll begin painting CootieBoy’s fish mural.

I also discovered tonight that CootieGirl has yet another staph infection on her butt again. I don’t know what the deal is. I’m hoping the pediatrician will just call in some antibiotic instead of making us take her in for an appointment. It was draining on it’s own tonight so I’m hoping we can avoid the whole NO SQUEEZE! thing and just nip it in the bud with meds. In other news, CootieBoy was once again dutiful about taking his medication – he downed in all in about 10 seconds.

Today I ordered a bunch of hooks and wire specifically for hanging pictures on a picture rail. I’m going to try and use the picture rails as much as possible to hang things in the kitchen, living room and guest room. I wish there were more picture railing around other parts of the house because I’d love to avoid nails in the wall as much as possible.

Okay, well I think Denis is home with dinner so I’m logging off for the night. Oh – one last thing! Last night I dreamt that our house was infested with little orangey brown mice. Then I woke up, and well I fell asleep again we were actually infested with zombies. And not the fun “Shaun of the Dead” zombies, but more like “29 Days Later” zombies. Not fun. Ooh – Denis brought home Chinese food! See ya!
