Here is the Princess as of this morning. I did the first coat of the hair, jewelry, shoes and outer skirt and the second coat of the interior part of the gown. I also did blue eyes and the white earring, along with the jewels on the crown. All that is left is the skin color and the crown. With any luck I can do the second coat tonight on what I did last night and the first coat of the remaining blanks. Almost done! Home stretch! Either way it needs to be done before tomorrow’s move-in day, so I may stay late tonight and wait for the crown and skin to dry so I can do the second coat on that tonight as well.

She looks like CootieGirl!!
That was the intent! =)
That’s awesome. I can’t wait to see CootieBoy’s mural, too.
This is so cute! How did the pattern work?
Bev – it’s a paint-by-numbers mural. You tape the pieces together, then put tracing paper on the wall, cover it with the mural paper, and then trace the pattern on the wall. Each section has a number assigned to represent the color.
In my case, since I wanted to break it up, I did the horizon a bit more hilly than the original mural, and put up the trees where I wanted as opposed to being held to the mural. I then traced the castle on in the spot I wanted, then put the Princess trace where I wanted her. I may add in something else if I can find it – maybe a horse or a dog in the background. We’ll see. Her room is going to be so busy that I may also just leave it as it is now and just finish the princess and be done. Because duncan’s mural is MUCH harder than this one.
Thanks–It is adorable!
